Job summary

MERS Missouri Goodwill Industries is seeking a part-time Janitor to support the Fort Leavenworth Ability One program. You will perform cleaning at assigned site, maintain a safe environment, and interact professionally with customers, vendors, and commuters.

No degree is required; a HS diploma is preferred. The role involves lifting, standing for long periods, reading simple signs, and working in varied temperatures.

Qualifications

• No degree required; High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be able to read simple signs and instructions.
• Ability to lift varying weights repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
• Must tolerate extreme temperatures and maintain safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning of various types at assigned site.
• Maintain a safe working environment.
• Interact professionally with customers, vendors, and commuters.
• Lift and operate standard janitorial equipment and supplies.
• Sweep and mop frequently with motorized equipment.
• Dust with rag and extended handle tools.
• Operate an industrial vacuum cleaner.
• Wax and polish floors.
• Clean up waste using appropriate safety procedures.
• Respond to spot clean-up requests.
• Other duties as assigned.
