Job Title: Part-Time On-Call Janitor (UAW Union)

Location: General Motors Plant – Rochester, NY

Position Type: Part-Time / On-Call

Shifts

• 1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
• 2nd Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM
• 3rd Shift: 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM (Candidate must be flexible and available to work any of the three shifts on short notice.)
  
  

Job Summary

Caravan Facilities Management is seeking a reliable Part-Time On-Call Janitor to support our cleaning operations at the GM plant. This is a union (UAW) position with the opportunity for advancement into a full-time role when available. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and flexible with shift availability.

Responsibilities

Clean and sanitize bathrooms, break rooms, offices, and hallways in an industrial environment

• Refill restroom and cleaning supplies
• Collect and dispose of trash
• Mop, sweep, vacuum, and perform other general cleaning duties
• Follow company and GM safety standards
• Maintain equipment and cleaning tools properly
• Communicate effectively with team leads and site manager
• Clock in and out using designated systems and report any issues promptly
  
  

Requirements

Prior janitorial or cleaning experience preferred, but not required

• Must be able to work any of the three shifts, including weekends and holidays if needed
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs, bend, reach, and stand for extended periods
• Must pass background check and adhere to site security rules
• Union membership required upon hire (UAW)
