Job summary

Central Ohio Technical College is building a Part-time Faculty Pool for Computer Information Technology. Teaching may involve online and in-person methods, with emphasis on student learning and engagement. Preferred candidates include those with a master’s degree or prior teaching experience.

Qualifications

• Must reside in the state of Ohio.
• Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution in CIS, business, or related field, or a bachelor’s with concentration in teaching.
• In lieu of a bachelor’s degree, consider associate degree with relevant work experience or certifications.
• Ability to communicate effectively and maintain positive relationships with students, peers, and staff.
• Willingness to teach using various instructional methods, including email and online LMS.
• Commitment to meeting students’ learning needs and aligning with the college mission.
• Background check must be completed successfully.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality instruction that aligns with course objectives and standards.
• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans, assignments, and assessments.
• Utilize diverse instructional strategies, including technology-enhanced learning.
• Provide timely, constructive feedback to students.
• Maintain accurate records of student performance, attendance, and assessments.
