Job summary

Midlands Technical College is seeking a part-time adjunct faculty member for the Desktop and Server Administrator program. Instructors will teach courses, lead labs, and connect instruction to approved objectives and current certification standards.

Responsibilities include preparing lessons, maintaining records, and coordinating with program staff. The role requires staying current with CompTIA objectives and professional development in a diverse learning setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in information technology, computer science, cybersecurity, networking, systems administration, or closely related field.
• Master’s degree in an information technology-related discipline.
• Current CompTIA certifications aligned with the subject area or able to obtain them on hire.
• Experience supporting computer hardware, networks, Windows systems, servers, cybersecurity operations, virtualization, or cloud environments.
• Ability to explain technical concepts clearly and provide hands-on demonstrations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare lessons, activities, assessments, and lab exercises.
• Maintain accurate attendance, grades, and course records.
• Communicate with program staff regarding student progress and instructional needs.
