Job summary

Fastenal Co. is seeking a Part-time Supply Chain Associate in Youngstown, OH to support inventory management, procurement, sourcing, and quoting for local customers. You will assist in branch operations, handle purchase orders, backorders, and respond to customer supply chain needs while maintaining accuracy and timely deliveries.

This role involves modest lifting and driving responsibilities as needed. The shift is Mon-Fri 7:00am–5:00pm, up to 28 hours per week, with potential schedule

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older with a valid driver's license and ability to meet driving requirements
• Pursuing or holding a degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Management, Marketing, Sales or related field OR customer service/industry experience
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Proficient computer skills
• Self-motivated, customer-service oriented, with strong organizational abilities
• Strong math aptitude and attention to detail
• Ability to plan, prioritize and solve problems
• Demonstrate core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork
• Lift/carry up to 25–50 lbs (up to 75 lbs occasionally) and comply with safety requirements
• Pass the required drug screen in applicable US jurisdictions

Responsibilities

• Managing branch inventory levels
• Administering procurement functions, including purchase orders and backorder management
• Estimating/quoting prices and sourcing product
• Coordinating resources to respond to customer supply chain needs
• Supporting accounts receivable activities
• Making deliveries with a company vehicle as necessary
• Performing other duties to ensure branch success
