Job summary

Penn Medicine, a leading academic medical center, seeks a patient services coordinator to manage shipping documents, inventory lists, and delivery coordination for home infusion patients. You will contact patients, verify insurance, and document actions in the EMR, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.

Qualifications

• Education or Equivalent Experience: HS Diploma/GED required.
• 2+ years in a customer service focused industry; healthcare experience preferred.
• Bachelor's degree and 2+ years home infusion therapy experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepares ship tickets using standard templates and assembles patient inventory Ship lists.
• Maintains contact with patients and caregivers to coordinate deliveries.
• Prints ship/pump lists for Medicare/Medicaid patients.
• Coordinates alternate delivery plans when needed and documents in the EMR.
• Schedules pickups and communicates issues to delivery staff.
• Verifies/coordinates patient delivery days and insurances monthly.
