Job summary

ACCEL Schools is seeking a Part-Time Intervention Specialist at North Bend STEM Academy in Cincinnati, OH. The role focuses on supporting students with IEP goals in a K–5 setting, employing inclusion and co-teaching strategies within a PLTW-based STEM curriculum.

Responsibilities include diagnostic and functional behavior assessments, developing IEP goals, engaging families, and planning non-instructional activities as part of a collaborative team dedicated to student growth.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards.
• Experience in full room inclusion or Co-Teaching in a Resource Room.
• Growth-focused coaching with frequent observations and progress monitoring.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Outlook.
• Excellent organization and time management.
• Ability to pass FBI/BCI background checks.
• Experience in a multi-cultural setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with classroom teachers to interpret student abilities and disabilities and adjust instruction.
• Conduct diagnostic assessments for instruction.
• Conduct functional behavior assessments.
• Write and implement behavior improvement plans.
• Facilitate IEP meetings and write IEP goals and objectives.
• Communicate regularly with families about academic and social‑emotional growth.
• Plan and implement non-instructional activities such as events and trips.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
