Job summary

Birch Agency is seeking an Intervention Specialist in Columbus, OH to support K-12 charter school clients under a part-time contract. The role focuses on coordinating instructional and behavioral goals for students with IEPs, in a growth-focused coaching environment.

Responsibilities include collaborating with teachers, conducting diagnostic and behavioral assessments, writing and implementing IEP goals, and facilitating IEP meetings while advancing student achievement and inclusive practices in

Qualifications

• Current Ohio state license.
• Experience in inclusion or Co-Teaching in a Resource Room.
• Comfort with growth-focused coaching via observations and planning.
• Ability to pass FBI/BCI background checks.
• Experience in a multi-cultural setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work cooperatively with classroom teachers, interpreting abilities and disabilities, assisting in intervention strategies, modifying general education curricula as necessary, and assisting the student with regular class assignments.
• Conduct diagnostic assessments for instruction.
• Conduct functional behavior assessments.
• Write and implement behavior improvement plans.
• Facilitate IEP Meetings and write IEP goals and objectives.
• Relentlessly work to meet all goals related to student achievement and culture as well as state-specific achievement goals.
