Job summary

Forsyth Tech is seeking an Interior Design Instructor to join a collaborative team at the Main Campus in Winston-Salem, NC. The role supports student achievement from recruitment through graduation, delivering courses and developing equitable instructional activities for undergraduate students.

The instructor will assess learning with designed tools, participate in curriculum development, mentor students, and maintain records in alignment with college policies.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or higher in Interior Design or related discipline.
• Two years+ in Interior Design for technical courses; five+ years for studio courses.
• Willingness to teach face-to-face, online asynchronous, and online synchronous classes.
• Willingness to travel and work at multiple campuses or offsite locations.
• Flexibility to teach morning, afternoon, evening, and weekend classes.
• Understanding of assessment and continuous improvement.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace.

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned courses in Interior Design as approved by the Department Chair and Dean.
• Design and implement inclusive instructional activities to maximize equitable student outcomes.
• Maintain accurate college records (attendance, grades).
• Develop curriculum and mentor students; connect with supports as needed.
• Engage in institutional service, professional development, and other duties.
