Job summary

The position requires a Master’s in Education Administration, a North Carolina license track, and prior school leadership experience. Evening/weekend events may be required.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Master’s degree and be eligible for North Carolina Postgraduate Professional License in administration and supervision.
• Must possess at least three years of successful experience as a teacher with some experience preferred at the school level.
• Knowledge of curriculum development, instructional practices, interpretation of test data, and budget development.
• Ability to assist with administering and managing the operation of a school.

Responsibilities

• Assists the principal in the general administration of the school with emphasis on improving the instructional program.
• Participates in developing and establishing school goals and objectives and planning the instructional program.
• Provides direction to staff in implementing goals and objectives and supports staff development.
• Evaluates the school program and staff, initiating needed improvements.
• Communicates policies and program goals to the community and enforces school board policies.
