Job summary

Rogers Behavioral Health in Madison, WI seeks an Intake Specialist to welcome patients and families, educate about admissions, and gather essential information for a seamless transition into programs. The role supports a multidisciplinary team and may fill in front desk duties as needed.

Two 4-hour weekday morning shifts plus two 12-hour weekend shifts on a rotating schedule. Part-time, with on-call and holiday rotations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree preferred.
• CPR certification within 30 days of hire; recertification required.
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention training within 60 days; annual re-certification.
• Healthcare/mental health experience preferred.
• Computer skills including word processing.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and caregivers at the facility.
• Educate admitted patients about admissions process.
• Input medical, insurance and demographic information accurately.
• Register patients in Cerner.
• Explain insurance coverage during admissions.
• Assist with on-call coverage and weekend rotations.
• Complete admissions paperwork and obtain all signatures.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and accurate clinical documentation.
