University of the District of Columbia seeks versatile instructors to teach undergraduate courses in strings, brass, woodwinds, and guitar at a part-time, temporary level in Washington, DC. The appointee will deliver instruction, develop syllabi, and align assessments with program expectations.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in performance or related field and proven teaching experience, with the ability to manage diverse classrooms and maintain accurate records and deadlines.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in performance or related field.
• Evidence of successful teaching experience.

Responsabilidades

• Teaches undergraduate courses on designated instrument to students of varying skill levels.
• Provides students an approved syllabus that includes course objectives and learning outcomes, teaching methodology, attendance policies in line with those of the institution, assignments and evaluation criteria.
• Assesses regularly and gives timely feedback to students.
• Examines and remediates one's instructional practices to more effectively engage and support students of diverse needs and backgrounds.
• Maintains records of enrollment and attendance, assessments and grades; submits class roster and grades by the deadlines established by the institution.
• Attends required professional development and/or University meetings.
