Job summary

Music & Arts, part of Guitar Center, is seeking provisional band teachers to provide music instruction at the schools we serve. This role will include substitute teaching as needed and will be scheduled for 20–24 hours per week.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education, have some teaching experience, and possess a valid state teaching license plus a driver's license and auto insurance. This position is based in Maryland and offers competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Music Education is required.
• Some teaching experience preferred.
• Applicable for State Teaching License.
• Valid state driver's license and automobile insurance.

Responsibilities

• Stand in as the teacher for music classes at schools when educators are unavailable.
• Assist with student recruitment or after-school events as needed.
• Prepare or follow lesson plans and provide progress reports, including attendance.
• Maintain quality relationships with school administration and principals.
• Coordinate with Music Educators to participate in concerts.
• Max 20-24 hours per week.
• Other duties as assigned.
