Responsibilities

Provide quality instruction and create a learning environment that encourages discussion of ideas, interests, and issues. Primary duties are curriculum‑related teaching activities and include both lecture and lab classes, as assigned by the department. Part‑time instructional faculty must be available to students outside of class time.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Chemistry.
• OR Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or biochemistry, AND a Master’s in biochemistry, chemical engineering, chemical physics, physics, molecular biology, or geochemistry.
• OR a combination of education and experience that is at least equivalent to the qualifications above. Applicants must submit an Application for Equivalency and evidence of sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender‑identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds of community‑college students, faculty, and staff.
