Responsibilities

The successful candidate will teach physics surveys, recitations, laboratories, or upper‑level courses focused on specific themes or topics. Duties include preparing course material; creating and posting a course syllabus; presenting material during class times; holding office hours and providing out‑of‑class support; responding to student e‑mails; conducting and grading assessments (assignments, exams, etc.) in a timely manner; and submitting final grades. Course appointments may require instruction during the day, evenings, weekends, off‑campus, online, hybrid, remotely, or any combination of these, based on the academic needs of the department or unit.

Qualifications

Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree in physics or closely related area. Master’s degree or Ph.D. strongly preferred.

Required skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; demonstrated ability to teach at the university level.
