Job summary

Jobtailor seeks an experienced nursing instructor to teach college-level courses across campuses in Iowa and Nevada. The role includes developing syllabi, creating course materials, and evaluating student mastery of required competencies.

The ideal candidate holds a BSN with significant clinical and teaching experience or an MSN, and is eligible for an unencumbered Nevada RN license. Experience in advising, recruitment, and program development is valued.

Qualifications

• BSN with 5 years experience within the past 7 years or Master’s in Nursing.
• Master’s in Nursing from an accredited college/university.
• Master’s in Health Related Field and a BSN from an accredited college/university.

Responsibilities

• Teach college-level courses in nursing.
• Develop syllabi and course materials.
• Evaluate student mastery of skills and competencies required by course outcomes.
• Provide excellent teaching and student advisement, recruitment activities, and curriculum development.

Requirements

• BSN from a regionally accredited college or university with five (5) years of experience in a specialty area within the past seven (7) years (expected to be enrolled in or be enrolled within one (1) year in a Master’s of Nursing program).
• OR Master’s in nursing from a regionally accredited college or university.
• OR Master’s in Health Related Field and a BSN from a regionally accredited college or university.
• Unencumbered Nevada RN license.
• Clinical experience.
• Interest in teaching either LPN or RN students.

Core Competencies

Demonstrates expertise in nursing education, curriculum development, and student evaluation, with a strong focus on providing quality teaching experiences and student advisement. Holds a valid Nevada RN license and possesses clinical experience relevant to nursing education.
