Job summary

San Juan Unified School District is seeking an Instructional Assistant II for Peck School on a part-time basis. The position runs 6 hours daily, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 2:30 PM, supporting teachers and students in Resource, Learning Handicap, or Communicatively Handicap programs.

Qualifications may include a California CBEST or equivalent, a high school diploma, and possibly two years of college. Some sites may require a valid California Class C driver license within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• In some programs, possession of, or willingness and ability to obtain a valid California Class C Driver License within 30 days of hire or before driving any equipment/vehicle requiring this license.
• Two years of college (48 semester/60 quarter units) or higher may be required for Title I sites.
• CBEST or equivalent test results are required for many postings.

Responsibilities

• Example duties include running small groups, assisting students in large groups in both Special Day Class settings or General Education, and supporting the teacher's needs.
