Job summary

San Juan Unified seeks an Instructional Assistant II for Del Campo High School, 6 hours per day, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 2:30 PM, 9 months/year. The role supports students in Resource, Learning Handicap, or Communicatively Handicap programs and assists the teacher during instruction.

Salary ranges from $19.51 to $24.47 per hour with a 5% Hard to Staff stipend; requires eligibility for California driver license and pre-qualification tests CBEST or proficiency.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting students in Resource, Learning Handicap, or Communicatively Handicap settings.
• Ability to run small groups and support teachers in large classes.
• Willingness to obtain a California Class C Driver License within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Run small groups and assist students during lessons.
• Support the teacher's needs in both General Education and Special Day Class settings.
