Job summary

Mesa Public Schools is seeking an Instructional Assistant for the Jordan Campus in Chandler, AZ. The role is part-time (18-22.5 hours per week) supporting teachers with instructional activities and clerical tasks.

The position requires high school education or equivalent, with an Associate’s degree or 60 college credits preferred, and may include a ParaPro test. There is potential for annual performance pay and limited experience-based increments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate’s degree or 60 college credits; or pass the ParaPro Test.
• Comfort with basic office machines and clerical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Work in close proximity with the assigned teacher and students.
• Assist students individually or in groups to reinforce skills.
• Assist with classroom computer instruction.
• Participate in school improvement initiatives.
• Develop classroom materials to support lesson plans.
• Maintain instructional equipment and ensure availability of items when required.
• Perform record keeping and general clerical functions to support teachers and administrators.
• Regular and on-time attendance required.
• Perform other related duties as assigned to support Mesa Public Schools.
