Qualifications

• Prior successful coaching experience, preferably at the high school and/or college level.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong character with a team‑oriented spirit and the ability to connect with students.
• Knowledge of and experience coaching the sport, including practices and competitions.
• CPR and first aid certified or the ability to become certified.
• Knowledge of basic computer operations and ability to maintain records.
• Clearances include Criminal Background Clearance (Act 34), Child Abuse Clearance (Act 151), and FBI Fingerprint Clearance (Act 114).
• Ability to work with middle and high school‑aged students.

Responsibilities

• Reports To: Director of Athletics and assists in daily practice planning and team management.
• Provide leadership and mentoring to student‑athletes and maintain discipline and sportsmanship.
• Coordinate with coaching staff and athletic trainer on injuries, conditioning, and safety.
• Maintain equipment and keep scorebooks; communicate with parents and school administrators.
• Ensure adherence to district policies and eligibility rules; participate in meetings as required.
• Help foster a diverse and inclusive team culture aligned with district mission.
