Job summary

ChristianaCare in Elkton, MD, is seeking an inpatient Pharmacist to join our team on a part-time day/evening/midnight rotation (48 hours biweekly, 8-hour shifts). Weekend/holiday requirement; currently every 3rd weekend and 2-3 holiday shifts per year.

You will review orders, verify medications, and collaborate with providers while supporting satellite pharmacies and IV Admixture/OR pharmacy operations.

Qualifications

• BS in Pharmacy or PharmD from an accredited program.
• Maryland licensure or eligibility to reciprocate.
• Hospital pharmacy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review and interpret provider orders and dispense medication.
• Evaluate drug efficacy and review for contraindications/precautions.
• Clarify orders with providers prior to dispensing initial doses.
• Manage therapies per policies (e.g., warfarin, vancomycin, IV to PO conversions).
• Provide drug information to allied professionals.
• Coordinate and supervise workplace activities.
• Oversee satellite pharmacies and IV Admixture/OR pharmacy.
