Job summary

ChristianaCare’s Wilmington Campus is hiring a Clinical Staff Pharmacist to join the inpatient pharmacy team with day/evening shift rotation and every fourth weekend, including holiday coverage.

Requirements include a PharmD or BS in Pharmacy and Delaware licensure, with at least one year of acute care hospital experience or equivalent inpatient exposure. This role supports multidisciplinary care across units and satellite services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy or PharmD degree from an accredited College of Pharmacy required.
• Current licensure (or eligible to reciprocate) in the State of Delaware.
• At least one year of experience working as a pharmacist in an acute care hospital, or two years as a Pharmacy Intern/Technician in an acute setting, or similar inpatient hospital experience.

Responsibilities

• Review and interpret providers' medication orders and patient records for safety and efficacy.
• Resolve problems in consultation with prescriber and nurse before dispensing the first dose.
• Evaluate anticoagulation, aminoglycosides and vancomycin therapies per policy.
• Coordinate and supervise work, ensuring USP 797 compliance in IV admixture and related areas.
