Job summary

ChristianaCare Cecil Campus is seeking an Inpatient Pharmacist to join our clinical team. The part-time rotation includes day, evening, and midnight shifts (48 hours biweekly) with weekend and holiday coverage.

The ideal candidate holds a BS in Pharmacy or PharmD, has hospital pharmacy experience, and current Maryland licensure or eligibility. This role supports perioperative and critical care services within a not-for-profit health system.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy or PharmD degree from an accredited College of Pharmacy required
• Hospital/acute care pharmacy experience preferred
• Current licensure (or eligible to reciprocate) in the State of Maryland

Responsibilities

• Review and interpret provider orders and dispense medication
• Evaluate drug efficacy and review for contraindications/precautions
• Clarify and resolve questioned orders with providers prior to dispensing initial doses
• Manage specific medication therapies per approved policies (e.g., warfarin, aminoglycosides, vancomycin, IV to PO conversions, renal dose adjustments, indication-directed dose adjustments, selection of surgical prophylaxis medications)
• Provide drug information to allied healthcare professionals
• Coordinate and supervise work-place activities
• Assume responsibility of satellite pharmacies including sterile product processing in IV Admixture Service lab and OR pharmacy
