Job summary

Ridgeway Rehab Center in Catonsville, MD is seeking an Infection Control Nurse (ICP certified) to support the DON. This part-time role focuses on planning, coordinating, and delivering infection control measures across our 61-bed skilled nursing facility.

The candidate should be an RN licensed in MD (or multistate) and certified as an Infection Control Preventionist, with preferred unit-manager experience and LTC/SNF background. Join us to advance patient safety and staff education.

Qualifications

• RN license in MD or multi-state license required.
• Certified Infection Control Preventionist.
• Experience as unit manager or in nurse leadership preferred.
• Experience in LTC/SNF settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the DON in planning, coordinating, and managing nursing care and health education.
• Train and educate nursing staff and other associates as applicable.
• Plan and coordinate staff training, in-service, and orientation.
• Identify and prevent outbreaks of infections in the facility.
• Collect and analyze infection control data to monitor outbreaks.
• Develop and maintain infection control training programs for all staff.
• Act as infection control resource for employees, community members and families.
• Ensure facility compliance with infection control standards.
