Job summary

United Way Miami is seeking an Infant Toddler Teacher to provide a safe, nurturing environment for children aged 0 to 36 months, promoting social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development in a high-quality early care setting.

The ideal candidate understands Visible Thinking, Multiple Intelligences, Dual Language, Inclusion, Early Literacy strategies, and Reflective Supervision. This role emphasizes collaboration with families and ongoing professional growth in a drug-free workplace.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and completion of required child care hours (DCF) are required.
• CDA for Infant/Toddler preferred or may be completed within the first year of employment.
• Minimum 18 credits in Early Childhood Education, CDA credit equivalency counted within 9 credits.

Responsibilities

• Provide experiences that build on children’s prior experiences and curiosity.
• Model and encourage positive behavior and effective communication with families.
• Maintain a safe, nurturing environment supporting children’s development across domains.
• Design a reflective curriculum with daily activities and environments to support learning.
• Observe, document, and respond to each child’s health, behavior, growth, and development.
