Job summary

Boston Baby Nurses LLC is seeking a professional, nurturing part-time nanny to care for a 4-month-old in South Boston. You will support feeding, naps, development, and age-appropriate activities in a warm home environment.

The ideal candidate is experienced with infants, reliable, and communicative, with CPR/First Aid certification and Montessori exposure preferred. Schedule includes Tue 12–6, Wed 9–3, Fri 9–3, Sat 9–3, with 24 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of childcare experience, including infant experience.
• CPR / First Aid certification required.
• Montessori experience or familiarity with Montessori principles preferred.

Responsibilities

• Providing attentive, loving care for the baby throughout the day
• Supporting daily routines including feeding, diapering, naps, and hygiene
• Creating age-appropriate activities including reading, and play
• Supporting developmental milestones through engaging play and interaction
• Preparing simple baby meals and supporting the transition to solids when appropriate
• Baby laundry, washing bottles/dishes, and keeping baby items organized
• Maintaining a clean and organized nursery/play space
• Other baby-related tasks as needed

A warm family in South Boston is seeking a professional and nurturing part-time nanny to care for their now 4-month-old daughter. This is a wonderful opportunity for an experienced infant caregiver who enjoys creating a thoughtful, engaging environment and supporting a baby’s development. The family is hoping to find someone who will become a trusted part of their family for the next 9-12 months, with the possibility of continuing longer term.

Requirements

• At least 21 years old
• Non-smoker
• CPR / First Aid certified
• Vaccinated for Flu & Tdap; Covid vaccination preferred
• 3+ years of childcare experience, including infant experience
• Montessori experience or familiarity with Montessori principles preferred

About the Family

This is a warm family looking for someone who will become a trusted and consistent presence in their baby’s life. The family follows a vegetarian lifestyle and is looking for someone who is comfortable supporting a vegetarian environment for their child as she grows. Both parents work from home, and while the nanny will have the ability to care for the baby independently, the parent’s may occasionally collaborate with the nanny throughout the day when schedules allow. They are looking for someone who is comfortable taking initiative, communicating openly, and working together as part of a team.

Position Details

• Location: South Boston, MA (conveniently located near the Red Line)
• Schedule: Tuesday 12:00pm-6:00pm; Wednesday 9:00am-3:00pm; Friday 9:00am-3:00pm; Saturday 9:00am-3:00pm
• Hours: Guaranteed 24 hours/week
• Start Date: January 18th, 2027 (some flexibility)
• Hourly Rate: $32-$36/hour BOE; taxes withheld
