Job summary

John Deere Waterloo Works in Waterloo, IA is seeking a Part Time Student – Industrial Engineer to support lean manufacturing, wage planning data, and capacity planning. This onsite role is designed for students balancing classes.

You will assist with methods, changes and reports, participate in implementing new manufacturing processes, and use Microsoft Office tools. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or a related field.
• Ability to work 16–20 hours during the academic year and 30–40 hours during the summer.
• GPA 2.8 or above and must be a full-time student in a U.S. college or university.
• Must be able to commute to Waterloo, Iowa year-round.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, including Outlook and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Assist in creation and management of sequence of events documentation and related data.
• Work with electronic tools to perform engineering functions and generate reports.
• Develop limited-scope plans to support lean manufacturing.
• Participate in implementing new manufacturing processes and technology.
