Job summary

Advocate Health seeks a part-time English instructor for Carolinas College of Health Sciences in Charlotte, NC. The role includes teaching in person for 16 hours per week and supporting course goals and student learning outcomes.

Requires a master’s degree in English or a related field with 18 graduate hours in English; in-person teaching is mandatory, and 2 years of postsecondary teaching or clinical experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Faculty will be required to teach in person.

Responsibilities

• Implements current, traditional, and innovative teaching methodologies to help learners meet course outcomes.
• Participates in comprehensive evaluation of courses, students, and curriculum.
• Completes end-of-term responsibilities including exams, attendance, and materials to the Program Chair.
• Provides conferences/instruction for individual learners as indicated by learning needs.
• Maintains proficiency in learner-centered instruction, including distance delivery mechanisms.
