Qualifications

• Master’s degree with a minimum of 18 graduate hours in a physical science discipline, or 10 graduate hours with a related field.
• Current unrestricted license, certification or registration as required by the appropriate body.
• Preferred: prior college-level teaching experience.
• Experience teaching introductory physical science courses to non-science majors.
• Ability to teach across multiple physical sciences areas (chemistry, physics, earth science, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Implement current and innovative teaching methods in class, clinical or lab settings to meet learning outcomes.
• Participate in evaluation processes for courses, students and curriculum.
• Complete end-of-term responsibilities and maintain necessary documentation.
• Be available for student conferences/instruction and serve as a resource to colleagues.
• Maintain proficiency in learner-centered instruction and assist with syllabus development.
