Job summary

Workstream is seeking an experienced in-house Legal Counsel to support rapid growth across contracts, privacy, governance, and employment matters. This is a part-time engagement (20-30 hours per week) based in San Francisco, CA, with the successful candidate acting as a trusted business partner across Sales, Product, Partnerships and Finance teams.

Key responsibilities include negotiating SaaS agreements, advising on privacy-by-design for AI/ML capabilities, and handling IP and board governance

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice in at least one US jurisdiction (CA bar preferred).
• 10+ years of legal experience, including 5-7+ years in-house at a SaaS or tech company.
• Part-time engagement: 20-30 hours per week.
• Negotiate SaaS agreements and advise on privacy-by-design for AI/ML capabilities.
• Handle IP and board governance matters.
