Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking a part-time Behavioral Health Specialist at Lorain Hospital. The role involves direct patient care, patient safety, and routine documentation under supervision, with afternoons and rotating weekends.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma/GED and 1 year of mental health or healthcare experience. Licensing in progress is preferred (BLS, STNA/CNA, SWA, or related credentials).

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in a mental health or health care setting preferred.
• Licenses or certifications may be preferred (STNA/CNA, BLS preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under supervision, including basic care and hygiene.
• Report changes and concerns to a nurse and maintain accurate documentation.
• Support patient safety and participate in rounds and check-ins.
• Assist with groups, family meetings, and treatment team activities as appropriate.
• Complete required trainings and adhere to policy and safety guidelines.
