Job summary

Mercy Health’s Lourdes Hospital is seeking a Behavioral Health Specialist to provide direct patient care under supervision within the Adult Behavioral Health Unit. You will support patient safety, accuracy in charting, and collaboration with nurses to report changes and ensure quality care.

Required is a High School Diploma/GED; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred. Preferred certifications include BLS, STNA, CNA, SWA, and related credentials.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• BLS, STNA, CNA, SWA, CDCA, Counselor in Training, HS-BCP, AAPT credentials preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care under supervision.
• Acts as liaison between patient and nurse.
• Documents patient care accurately and timely.
• Completes patient rounding, 15-minute checks, and safety companion services.
• Performs patient data collection and screenings.
• Participates in continued education and trainings.
