Job summary

Dialysis Care Center, LLC is seeking a Patient Care Tech in Center for our Macon, GA facility. Under RN supervision, you will provide safe, compassionate dialysis support and help ensure patient safety and high-quality care.

The role involves setting up machines, monitoring vital signs, recording treatment data, and participating in training and quality initiatives. Strong data entry and interpersonal skills are required; shifts may vary and travel between facilities may be needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Current CCHT, Bonent or State required certificate if experienced.
• CCHT, Bonent or State required certificate within 18 months per CMS regulations.
• Current CPR card if experienced or within 3 weeks of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Entering prescribed treatment into the dialysis machine, setting up dialysis machines, dismantling dialysis machines after treatment is completed, performing chemical disinfection of dialysis machines, and recording.
• Monitors vital signs during treatment and takes patient vitals pre- and post-dialysis; blood pressure, temperature, weight and records on the Hemodialysis Treatment Record
• Observe dialysis machines and RO water system for correct functioning and respond to alarms to ensure patient safety
• Assists in training of applicable direct patient care staff under RN supervision
• Participates in Missed Treatment Interventions by notifying the interdisciplinary team of missed or shortened treatments
• Performs vascular access evaluation pre-treatment and report unusual findings to the RN
• Cannulation of vascular access or catheter care as allowed by state law
• Maintains compliance with safety and infection prevention measures
• Participates in mandatory continuing education and completes PCT Water Quality Facility Training
