Job summary

South Shore Health in Hingham, MA, is seeking a part-time Radiologic Technologist to join SSH Imaging Diagnostic. Under the direction of the Department Manager, the technologist performs interpretive, patient care and technical functions to insure proper radiologic diagnosis of patients.

The role requires vigilance for safety, accurate patient identification, and adherence to radiation protection standards while operating imaging equipment and coordinating with hospital staff.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved two-year radiography program.
• Six months to become fully proficient.
• MA Radiography License (RT) or temporary license.
• Maintain CEU records with manager.

Responsibilities

• Perform interpretive, patient care and technical functions to insure proper radiologic diagnosis.
• Assist with radiology procedures and ensure patient safety and comfort.
• Prepare and operate radiographic equipment and accessories as assigned.
• Verify patient identity, explain procedures, and obtain consent when required.
• Maintain sterile technique and follow radiation safety protocols.
• Document required information in the patient record.
