Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved two-year radiologic technology program.
• Minimum of 6 months experience preferred for proficiency.
• MA state RT license or temporary RT license required; CEU records maintained annually.

Responsibilities

• Identify the patient and verify exam requests.
• Explain preparation and instructions to patient and family.
• Operate radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment safely.
• Position patient and select imaging parameters to obtain diagnostic images.
• Follow radiation safety and infection control procedures.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and accurate medical records.
• Observe for adverse reactions to contrast media and respond appropriately.
• Assist with equipment maintenance and QA processes.
• Ensure patient safety, comfort, and privacy throughout examinations.
