Job summary

Northeast College of Health Sciences is seeking a Professional Tutor for Imaging Sciences to support undergraduates with in-person or virtual tutoring. Flexible scheduling to evenings with up to 20 hours per week, and coordination with the Accessibility Resources and Academic Success Manager.

The role emphasizes developing study skills, reviewing course material, and guiding students toward independent learning. Prior tutoring or teaching experience is valued.

Qualifications

• Imaging Sciences graduate or a related Radiologic Technology/Diagnostics background preferred.
• Background in tutoring/teaching is a plus.
• GPA 3.25+ in undergraduate studies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work with diverse student populations and both independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Meets and supports students through small group, 1:1 tutoring, and/or drop-in sessions.
• Provides content-based learning activities to enrich course content.
• Offers study strategy suggestions and active learning tools.
• Reviews and reinforces classroom material for clarity.
• Maintains records of student contact and uses WCOnline.
• Collaborates with faculty for assignment clarification and guidance.
• Familiarizes with D2L to access course materials.
• Mentors student tutors as needed.
• Directs and maintains focus of tutoring sessions.
• Supports exam proctoring as required.
