Job summary

UPMC Western Maryland is seeking a Part-Time Medical Assistant to join the Imaging Department in Cumberland, MD. The role supports the Mammography area and may assist other Imaging sections as needed.

Schedule is 16 hours per week, typically two daylight shifts, with occasional weekend coverage. Experience in women's health or imaging is a plus but not required; growth opportunities in Imaging are encouraged within a patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in women's health or imaging is a plus, but not required.
• Phlebotomy or EKG experience is helpful.
• Ability to assist patients with walking and transfers.

Responsibilities

• Check schedules and organize patient flow; accompany patients to exam rooms.
• Perform phlebotomy, EKGs, and level one labs; assist physicians with procedures.
• Prepare patient rooms and instruments; maintain infection control and cleaning between visits.
• Handle front office tasks: scheduling, patient demographics, and chart management.
• Obtain and relay patient information/history; document in medical records.
