accessAbilities Home & Community Services is hiring Direct Care Workers (IDD Attendants) to assist individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities in New Alexandria, PA.

We offer flexible schedules! Part-time hours available. Responsibilities include cooking, cleaning, home chores, shopping, attending medical appointments, making crafts, providing companionship, and helping participants gain social and adaptive skills in the community.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to lift, carry, push and/or pull up to 40 lbs. without assistance and up to 200 lbs. with assistance (hoyer lift).
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance
• Ability to obtain ACT 33/34 and FBI clearances

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with IDD with daily living activities.
• Provide companionship and perform light household tasks.
• Help with shopping, appointments, meals, and transportation as needed.
• Support participation in community activities and outings.
