Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required or current enrollment in an accredited program with two clinical rotations.
• Enrollment in an accredited nursing program with completion of two clinical rotations (Med/Surg in acute care).
• Current Health Care Provider Certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the RN in planning and implementing patient care using the nursing process.
• Perform specific patient care duties to meet safety and comfort needs.
• Respond to emergent situations according to established procedures.
• Provide input to the RN to enhance patient care plans.
• Participate in continuing education to advance nursing skills and knowledge.
