Job summary

The City of Lincoln Park is seeking a part-time Ice ResurfacER Operator/Rink Attendant to support the community center programs in the evenings and on weekends. Work involves supervising activities, assisting participants, and performing routine maintenance of ice surfaces and ancillary facilities.

Ideal candidates are high school graduates, legally eligible to work in the United States, at least 18 years old, and able to pass background checks and drug screening.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or G.E.D.
• Legally employable in the United States
• 18 years of age or older
• Ability to pass written examination, physical with drug screen and fingerprint/ criminal history/driving record check
• Valid State of MI Driver's License

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain ice resurfacer and edger as scheduled.
• Register participants for classes and rentals and assist visitors.
• Set up rooms, tables, chairs and sound systems for programs.
• Shovel and salt sidewalks; ensure building cleanliness and safety.
• Monitor groups and rentals to enforce rules and assist director as needed.
