Job summary

Northampton Community College is seeking motivated individuals to teach HVAC/R as part-time adjunct faculty. Instructors will teach in the classroom and lab settings, with possible onsite industry training opportunities.

Responsibilities include following syllabi, aiding curriculum development, supervising projects, evaluating student progress, and staying current with industry trends. Candidates should have a technical associate degree or higher and at least five years in HVAC/R.

Qualifications

• Five years in HVAC/R industry.
• EPA Section 608 Certification - Types I & II (Universal preferred).
• RSES or NATE industry certifications preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Moderate computer and technology skills for admin and instruction.

Responsibilities

• Plan course instruction based on approved syllabus and outline.
• Collaborate with program manager on curriculum development and lab improvements.
• Supervise independent and group projects, lab activities, or other training.
• Observe and evaluate student work, provide feedback and improvement suggestions.
• Prepare content for classroom and labs for activities.
• Stay current with industry developments and relay changes to students.
