Job summary

Parkland College in Champaign, Illinois seeks an HVAC Adjunct Faculty member to teach on campus. The appointment is part-time with a salary range of $1,406.00 to $1,525.00 per Equated Contact Hour (ECH), commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Qualifications

• Ten (10) years experience as an HVAC service technician.
• Ability to learn the Parkland information system and new programs as technology changes.
• Maintains all professional credentials required to teach in area of discipline.
• Prospective new hires will undergo post offer, pre-employment criminal background checks with fingerprinting.
• SURS annuitant restrictions apply for Parkland College employees.

Responsibilities

• Performs professional duties in accordance with the college's policies and procedures.
• Provides classroom instruction following the college's philosophy, objectives, and course outlines.
• Informs students of course regulations, evaluation procedures, and other course information; prepares and distributes course syllabi.
• Available for student advising/mentoring.
• Maintains regular office hours for student consultation and timely assistance.
• Maintains accurate scholastic records and submits progress reports by deadlines.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the department chair.
