Illinois Central College (ICC) invites applications for Adjunct Faculty to teach HVAC/R technology courses. This part-time role may include day, evening, weekend, and off-campus classes, with responsibilities to follow syllabi and maintain office hours to support student success.

Applicants should possess a relevant degree or substantial HVAC experience as outlined in the minimum qualifications. The position offers part-time teaching opportunities within ICC's growing energy and building systems

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Heating, Ventilation, Air-Conditioning/Refrigeration Technology, Building Science Trade Technology, Energy Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, Engineering Technology, or Vocational Education
• Minimum of 10,000 work hours as an HVAC technician for the degree routes
• Completion of an apprenticeship program with Journeyman status and 10,000 hours
• 10 years' HVAC experience

Responsibilities

• Instruct and coordinate courses including lecture and/or lab-based classes, ensuring materials and safety standards are met
• Follow syllabi and maintain office hours to support student success
• Communicate with students to ensure student success
• Collaborate with faculty and staff to improve the student experience
• Perform related duties as required
