Job summary

Nord Anglia International School New York is seeking a part-time Human Resources Director to support school leadership, culture, and people initiatives. The role offers approximately 20 hours per week, reporting to the Principal with a dotted line to the Regional HR Director.

You will manage recruitment, onboarding, payroll coordination, compliance, performance management, and employee relations within a small school team, collaborating with NAEEUS Shared Services to ensure accurate HR processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in HR or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive HR experience in a school or corporate setting.
• Experience with HRIS and payroll systems is required.
• Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
• Ability to work in a matrix organization with regional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead workforce planning and staffing discussions with school leaders to ensure appropriate staffing.
• Manage the recruitment lifecycle for school-based positions with a high-quality candidate experience.
• Partner with Regional HR, Marketing, and hiring managers to strengthen employer branding.
• Oversee onboarding processes and induction activities for new hires.
• Promote employee relations, performance management, and compliance across the school.
• Coordinate HR data reporting and analytics to inform leadership decisions.
