Home2 Suites Athens is seeking a Part-Time Maintenance Worker to help keep our hotel clean, functional, and well-maintained for guests in Athens, AL. You’ll perform routine repairs, respond to requests, and assist with preventive maintenance.

Qualifications

• 1 year of maintenance, hotel, building, or handyman experience.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry.
• Ability to troubleshoot and know when to call for help.
• Proficiency with common hand and power tools, safely.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Reliable attendance and ability to work independently.
• Good communication and customer-service skills.
• Physical ability to lift, bend, climb ladders, and perform maintenance tasks.
• Willingness to work a flexible part-time schedule, including weekends or holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs throughout the hotel and guest rooms.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and staff.
• Repair or replace plumbing fixtures, light fixtures, switches, outlets, and other components.
• Conduct minor drywall, painting, carpentry, and general repair work.
• Inspect guest rooms, hallways, public areas, and equipment for issues.
• Assist with preventative maintenance of hotel equipment and systems.
• Keep tools, supplies, and maintenance areas organized.
• Report major repairs or safety hazards to management.
• Assist with emergency maintenance when needed.
• Follow all safety procedures and regulations.
• Maintain a professional and courteous attitude with guests and staff.
