Home2 Suites by Hilton Tuscaloosa Downtown is seeking a Maintenance Technician to care for guest rooms, facilities and public spaces. You’ll perform routine and preventative maintenance, assist with contractors, and uphold brand standards to create a welcoming environment for guests.

The position is full-time seasonal with potential to become permanent, requiring flexible scheduling including nights, weekends and holidays in downtown Tuscaloosa, AL.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Previous maintenance experience preferred
• General knowledge of janitorial work, plumbing and grounds maintenance
• Proficient skills with hand tools, power equipment and commercial machinery
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds
• Basic computer proficiency, including email and internet

Responsibilities

• Complete routine maintenance and minor repairs to facilities, public areas, and streets as needed
• Perform preventative maintenance checks in guest rooms
• Complete guest room calls when on duty
• Complete checklists of physical condition of guest rooms prior to and after occupancy
• Ensure hotel is presentable and adheres to brand standards
• Assist manager with supervision of service contractors
• Inspect irrigation system regularly and repair as necessary
• Inspect pool/spa area and other recreational amenities, make minor repairs as needed
• Maintain hotel pool(s), test chemical levels and adjust as needed
• Follow safety procedures while performing duties
• Other duties and special projects as assigned

Home2 Suites by Hilton Tuscaloosa Downtown, conveniently located on University Boulevard in the heart of downtown Tuscaloosa, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team. JOB DUTIES

REQUIREMENTS

As a Maintenance Technician, you must be hard-working, reliable and focused on providing exceptional customer service. You must also be highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

• High School Diploma or GED
• Previous maintenance experience preferred
• Demonstrated knowledge of and broad experience in general maintenance techniques and repair work
• Ability to endure seasonal temperatures as working conditions require constant outdoor work
• General knowledge of janitorial work, plumbing and grounds maintenance
• Proficient skills in operating various hand tools, power equipment, and commercial machinery
• Ability to provide legible written reports
• Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds
• Basic computer proficiency, including the ability to use email and internet
• Availability to respond to resort needs during non-business hours while on-call

This is a full-time, seasonal position that can become a regular position working at Home2 Suites by Hilton Tuscaloosa Downtown Flexible scheduling required, including nights, weekends and holidays.
