Job summary

Highgate Hotels, LP seeks a Hotel Maintenance Engineer for La Quinta Austin - Mopac North at The Domain. This part-time, hourly role supports maintenance and repair of hotel equipment across guestrooms, kitchens, laundry, and public areas.

You will handle routine preventative maintenance, respond to alarms, and perform basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry tasks. A high school diploma and valid driver’s license are required; trade license is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in a hotel or a related field preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Licensed in a trade preferred (plumbing electrical HVAC carpentry etc.).
• Must have a valid driver's license for the applicable state.
• Must have an acceptable MVR (Motor Vehicle Driving Record).

Responsibilities

• Assist with operation, maintenance and repair of equipment.
• Change out light bulbs and perform preventative maintenance for guest rooms (paint, minor repairs, caulking, etc.).
• Perform preventative maintenance for ice machines, refrigerators, kitchen equipment, laundry equipment, HVAC, guestrooms, meeting rooms, pool and spa areas.
• Perform plumbing repair and general equipment maintenance; monitor energy use and respond to alarms.
• Immediately follow up on alarms and report findings to the Front Desk.
• Perform other tasks by supervisor or manager.
