Qualifications

• Experience in hotel engineering or facilities maintenance.
• Understand and operate HVAC, electrical, plumbing systems.
• Read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Good verbal and written communication.
• Ability to lift 10–25 pounds and stand/walk during shifts.

Responsibilities

• Respond to service calls within a half hour of receipt.
• Complete work orders accurately and reschedule if needed.
• Maintain pools, filters, and pumps daily.
• Adjust TVs and program boxes as required.
• Replace light bulbs and ballasts promptly.
• Replace air filters on AC units regularly.
• Repair vacuums and return to service within 2 days.
• Clean grounds, garages and parking lots.
• Perform carpet cleaning and maintenance.
• Maintain carpets in guestrooms, corridors and public areas.
• Identify and treat stains, odors, and heavily soiled areas.
• Maintain carpet cleaning equipment and supplies.
• Establish a preventative maintenance schedule for carpeting.
• Report carpet damage or replacement needs.
