Qualifications

• Previous hotel engineering experience preferred.
• At least 2 years of hotel engineering experience, preferably in a New York City hotel.
• Strong working knowledge of mechanical systems, painting/spackling, light plumbing and light electrical.
• Great communication skills, professional demeanor and appearance.

Responsibilities

• Build professional and informative interactions with guests and staff.
• Complete all allocated work orders daily or report inadequate orders to the Director for rescheduling.
• Comply with hotel processes to perform maintenance, installation, or repair tasks as needed.
• Identify issues and provide solutions, ensuring guest-related issues are resolved promptly.
• Maintain and repair hotel equipment to ensure full functionality.
• Fill engineering reports before shift ends for record-keeping and handover.
• Collaborate with carpenters, electricians, painters, and contractors as needed.
• Follow safety guidelines and hotel fire safety protocols.
