Sodexo is seeking a part-time Utility Worker at Stamford Hospital in Stamford, CT. The role supports kitchen and facility operations by keeping food production and service areas clean, organized, and sanitary. You will wash dishes, sanitize surfaces, and assist with setup and breakdown as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Knowledge of sanitation procedures and basic concepts of food safety.
• No related work experience required.

Responsibilities

• Washes dishes by hand or places them in a dishwashing machine.
• Clean and sanitize worktables, walls, refrigerators and meat blocks.
• Sweeps, mops, cleans and vacuums floors.
• Removes trash and garbage to designated areas.
• Cleans equipment using specified chemicals to ensure sanitary standards.
• Restock supplies such as soap, paper towels, and cleaning materials.
• Walk, stand, and mobility required for entire shift; may exceed 8 hours.
• Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds; frequently lift up to 35 pounds.
• Attend shifts on time; other duties may be assigned per business needs.
